Trusted Knowledge for Safer births
Here to provide clear, honest and straightforward information on pregnancy because every pregnancy deserves safe, informed care
An Introduction...
Hi, I’m Clare. I’m a Consultant in Obstetrics and Fetal & Maternal Medicine in Manchester. My training took me through Leeds, Nottingham, London and Manchester, and I completed a PhD through a Wellcome Trust Fellowship.
I’m passionate about making complex medical information clear and accessible, and over the years I’ve contributed to national guidelines, committees, obstetric textbooks and the Ockenden Maternity Review in 2022. I’ve also held leadership roles at St Mary’s and the Manchester Academic Health Science Centre, but what really drives me is supporting women to feel informed, confident and cared for during pregnancy and beyond.
With resources such as blogs, videos and social media content, I aim to make pregnancy care clearer and more understandable for everyone.
Whether you’re a medical professional or an expectant parent, my goal is to support safer pregnancies all around.
